The Hockey Spirit.

After a nice week away from school, I came back to residence today and I normally don’t get upset when I say goodbye to my family but today I did. I guess my friends sensed that something was off. So I headed back to my room.. literally five minutes after I said goodbye to my dad and walked back to my room repeated and loud banging took place on my door, two of my friends came in and played obnoxious music and made me smile. We then decided to go to our local movie theater and see Goon. It was a hilarious movie, full of the good old Canadian spirit! Jay Baruchel did a great job on his first movie! Sure the language is foul and the players are rough. dirty and crude- but let’s be serious here people, hockey isn’t hockey without a good fight and rough language. Not to mention Sean William Scott is totally hockey player hot- serious eye candy. He plays the main character Doug Glatt, who’s a big sweet teddy bear guy off the ice and a ruthless fighting machines on the ice. This movie shows the true brotherhood in hockey- which sounds weird since it’s full of fights, the whole story is strangely heart warming. So if you’re in the mood to watch a funny flick, I definitely would suggest watching Goon.
